The MAKE Workshop’s purpose is to foster professional and artistic development and connect people in (our) underserved communities with creative industries through exposure to creative opportunities, unique business cultures, innovative community projects and the promotion of self knowledge.
We believe that by educating youth in creative industries we are loading their skill sets with tools that can be of use in whatever career field they may choose and in whatever community they may reside.
In our ever changing digital sphere, our workshops will teach youth skills in business, graphic design, art, video editing, tech, creative writing, photography, community outreach and self-expression.
Our goal is to empower a community of well equipped creatives with skills to not only navigate but also dictate their future and disrupt the spaces that often exclude them.
The MAKE Workshop is positioned to impact change.
On the last Saturday of every month, we invite professionals from Creative Industries (art, photography, film, etc.) to produce workshops for Cleveland's Urban Youth. Programs aim to encourage attendees to use creativity as a means of expression and also teach technical skills in photography, film, production and editing.
